Swords Of Chivalry, Team Touche’s historical sword-fighting program, has announced that they have been named one of the member schools in the prestigious Chivalric Fighting Arts Association (CFAA).
The CFAA is an international affiliation of clubs and schools that study the fighting arts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance with a strong focus on both historical accuracy, and the “character building” aspects of these traditional arts – respect, honor, and chivalry. Member schools of the CFAA are on the cutting edge of research and interpretation of European historical fighting and dueling techniques, and Swords Of Chivalry is one of only 17 schools worldwide to be included in their ranks.
Swords Of Chivalry is led by head coach Scott Farrell, who teaches lessons in the German longsword (and various other items of 14th century weaponry) for teens and adults at weekly classes on the Team Touche fencing floor. Class sessions for teens are held Friday evenings from 5 to 6:30 pm. Sessions for adults are held on Sunday mornings, from 10:30 am to noon. New students are welcome, but due to the large class sizes, new students are brought in only on the first class session of each month. If you’d like to learn more, or reserve a spot in the next new-student session, just contact the front desk at Team Touche. Swords Of Chivalry is a part of the Chivalry Today Educational Program.
Team Touché Fencing Center would like to congratulate the Swords Of Chivalry coaching staff and their students for being accepted among the ranks of the CFAA member schools!
