Alexander was born in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan. He started fencing at the young age of 12 and became Master of Sport at age 17. As a naturally born competitor, he joined the Junior and Cadet National Team. At 18, he joined the senior National Team.


Coach Alex has won multi-championships and is a prizewinner of his country. For many years, he owned the National Cup of his country (Epee.) He is a participant and awardee of many international tournaments.


With a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from Baku’s Highest State Institution, Coach Alex understands the extensions and limitations of the human body. Applying this knowledge with the sport of fencing, Coach Alex has honed the optimal footwork. In addition to his academic credentials, he holds a diploma of professional training in fencing.

Coach Alex has resided in the United States since 2005. He lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, he relocated to San Diego, CA. During this time, he’s trained many decorated athletes, which have earned countless awards and medals — Many in which joined top competitions, local (MN and CA) and national level tournaments (SYR, NAC and Summer Nationals)


Coach Alex has traveled and coached students from all around the world; World Cups, European and World Championships. Preparing students for World Class events is what he does best.
